Exner Education was invited to present to over 300 DET staff members at Treasury Place Theatre Melbourne. We were showcasing the VR technology used in the Maker Immersion Kit. David Barron, Director of Training Market Quality was ‘immersed’ in our educational training course that combines both eLearning, Virtual Reality and Gamification to deliver the Victorian Cert IV in Building and Construction. The Maker Immersion Project is the very first project that has been announced by the Vic Government in the Worker Training Innovation Fund (WTIF). Newly appointed Chief Engineer & the Parliament Secretary for Treasury & Finance try out Bosch’s new automated vehicles
As the newly appointed Chief Engineer of Victoria, Dr Collette Burke joined Parliamentary Secretary for Treasury and Finance, Daniel Mulino at Bosch to inspect the new automated vehicles and robots that Bosch are manufacturing.
Dr Burke’s role as the Chief Engineer of Victoria will involve her providing advice to the Government on major infrastructure projects and her expertise when developing and delivering new projects. With 25 years of engineering, risk and project management experience, Dr Burke will also ensure the Construction and Building industry is properly regulated for safety compliance and competency.
The appointment of Dr Burke as Chief Engineer of Victoria – a first for the state, brings new opportunities for Victoria’s future Infrastructure.
